Martin Padley<\/strong> \u2013 Mr Padley has a strong technical and quality background with a First Class Honours Degree in Applied Chemistry (including the year prize in three successive years) and a PhD in industrial surface chemistry. He is a Chartered Chemist and active in a number of external water and utility industry technical groups.<\/p>\n

Mr Padley has worked in the water industry for 20 years (at United Utilities) in a number of technical, process, asset, project, operational, regulatory and quality management roles. During that time he has successfully led and delivered a number of significant outputs from novel technical and process solutions through to complex regulatory and financial negotiations. His current role in United Utilities is Chief Scientific and Quality Officer leading a team of 260 people and being responsible for all of the technical, scientific, quality assurance, accreditation and technical audit functions.
