If you have a double bowl sink, use one bowl\u00a0to wash and the other to rinse dishes.<\/li>\n<li>Fill a jug with tap water and place it in your fridge. This way you don&#8217;t have to leave the tap running to get cold water.<\/li>\n<li>Wash your fruits in a pan of water and use it to water the plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>House<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Always use full loads in your washing machine and dishwasher.<\/li>\n<li>Check your taps regularly for leaks and fix them as soon as possible. The best way for that is to monitor the water bills and water meters for higher consumption than usual.<\/li>\n<li>Be careful to turn off the taps properly to avoid wasting water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Bathroom and toilet<\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-26071 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/tallinnavesi.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"219\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tallinnavesi.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/5.png 500w, https:\/\/tallinnavesi.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/5-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/tallinnavesi.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/5-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 219px) 100vw, 219px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prefer shower to a bath.\u00a0A bath takes approx. 3 times more water.<\/li>\n<li>Take shorter showers. Reducing your shower time\u00a0by 1-2 minutes can save up to 12 litres a day!<\/li>\n<li>Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth or\u00a0hair, soap your hands or shave. This may help you save approx. 40 litres a day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Garden<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>To reduce evaporation, water your garden early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler.<\/li>\n<li>Use storaged rain water to water the plants.<\/li>\n<li>To reduce evaporation, water the roots of the plants, not leaves.<\/li>\n<li>Water your garden with a watering can rather than use an automatic irrigation system or sprinkler.<\/li>\n<li>To avoid any problems with water pressure, please do not water your plants\/garden\u00a0during peak hours of water use (18:00 \u2013 22:00).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Water is a valuable natural resource, which should be used as efficiently as possible.\u00a0This way you\u00a0save money and our surrounding environment.
