Settlement for gardening water

This year there are two options for the settlement for gardening water:

The settlement is based on the difference between summer and winter consumption. In that case the maximum volume to be settled is 20m³.

• Water meter readings must be reported in line with the billing period established in the contract and, if needed, additionally as of 31.03 and 30.09.
•  In case the billing period does not match the summer gardening water settlement period and we have not received your readings taken on 31.03 and 30.09, the settlement will be calculated for the billing period that falls into summer period. For a customer, this will mean settlement for a shorter period of time. In case the start and/or end reading for summer period has been reported, the settlement will be calculated on the basis of the readings reported.

Settlement is calculated based on the readings of the additional water meter installed by AS Tallinna Vesi. We recommend you to install an additional water meter if your usual summer volume of water that is not discharged into the sewerage system is higher than 20m³. This should be done before 31.03.2016, otherwise it would not be possible to settle for the started calendar year to a considerable extent.

• The readings of the main and additional water meter must be reported in line with the billing period established in the contract.
• In case an additional water meter is installed, you would need to be prepared to incur the following expenses as per the applicable price list:
  • installation of an additional water meter for the settlement for gardening water for clients who are private persons EUR 30,80 (incl. VAT);
  • maintenance and verification of the additional water meter for gardening water EUR 16,40 (incl. VAT).

Yes, it is. This water meter is installed by AS Tallinna Vesi. All the related costs are covered by the customer according to the applicable price list.

In case an additional water meter is installed, you would need to be prepared to incur the following expenses as per the applicable price list:

• installation of an additional water meter for the settlement for gardening water for clients who are private persons EUR 30,80 (incl. VAT);
• maintenance and verification of the additional water meter for gardening water EUR 16,40 (incl. VAT).

Since 1.03.2016, the procedure for the settlement for gardening water changed. Without a separate water meter, the maximum volume to be settled is 20m³ per annum.

The preconditions for settlement re gardening water for the owners or possessors of a residential building (registered immovable/plot of land) are as follows:

• a water meter accepted by AS Tallinna Vesi;
• valid contract for the purchase and sale of water supply and wastewater disposal services (with a maximum water meter reporting cycle of 3 months);
• a consumption history of the particular registered immovable since at least the October of the previous year;
• water meter readings have been reported at the frequency agreed in the contract throughout the entire year;
• no overdue bills.
